Our Story

Founded in 2020, Rising Tide Leadership Development is dedicated to equipping individuals and teams with the tools they need to grow, lead, and thrive. Built on the belief that consistent accountability drives steady growth, we focus on developing strong, purpose-driven leaders in workplaces, organizations, and communities.

Led by Elijah and Sarah, Rising Tide combines years of experience in leadership, coaching, early childhood development, and team development.

At Rising Tide, we believe that leadership isn’t just about titles—it’s about influence, growth, and creating a culture where teams can succeed. Whether working with businesses, nonprofits, or individuals, we are committed to creating leaders who light the way.

Elijah Landell

After more than 15 years as a fitness professional and almost as long in the competitive softball world, Elijah transitioned into leadership coaching. He has taken his approach to physical fitness and team building on the field into the workplace. His belief that consistent accountability drives steady growth is the basis for his coaching.After earning his Bachelor’s degrees in Physical Education and Recreation (Evangel University 2005) Elijah went on to complete his Master’s degree in Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity (IllinoisState University 2009). During his graduate work, he was drawn to the idea of performance enhancement.

This led to becoming a Maxwell Leadership Certified Coach in 2019. He then launched Rising Tide Leadership Development the following summer. Ever the learner, Elijah continues to add to his certification resources, including:

Sarah Landell

Sarah has spent almost 15 years working with children and families in a variety of settings. Her main role through these years has been center director for various childcare centers. Her leadership experiences in Early Childhood Education have fueled a desire to help other leaders grow. Specifically, women in leadership who also work in Early Childhood. Sarah earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education and Human Sciences (University of Nebraska-Lincoln). She also finds ways to be involved in communities and advocates for what she believes. Herinvolvement includes:
Nebraska Parent Ambassador (Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative)
Vice President of her local St. Paul Early Childhood Foundation
