What is the DISC Leadership Assessment?
The DISC assessment is a powerful tool that categorizes individuals into four primary personality types, each represented by a color: Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue. Understanding these categories can help leaders communicate more effectively and create a harmonious work environment.
Dominance
Those who fall into the Red category are charismatic and persuasive. They excel in social interactions and are skilled at motivating and inspiring others.
Influence
This group emphasizes quality, accuracy, and competency. They are detail-oriented and analytical, often ensuring that tasks are completed to the highest standards.
Steadiness
Individuals in this category are results-oriented and driven. They focus on achieving goals and making decisions quickly, often thriving in challenging situations.
compliance
Blue individuals prioritize cooperation and sincerity. They are reliable team players who value harmony and supportive relationships within the workplace.

Why Use the DISC Assessment?
While some may worry that categorizing team members could lead to stereotyping, the DISC model is designed to create a common language among team members. By using these straightforward color labels, teams can better understand themselves and adapt their behaviors to foster improved communication and collaboration.
Improved Communication
Understanding the different DISC profiles helps leaders tailor their communication styles to meet the needs of each team member. This leads to clearer exchanges and reduces misunderstandings.
Enhanced Team Dynamics
With insights from the DISC assessment, leaders can identify potential conflicts and address them proactively. By recognizing each member's strengths and weaknesses, teams can leverage diverse skill sets for greater success
Effective Conflict Resolution
By understanding the communication styles of team members, leaders can mediate conflicts more effectively, ensuring that everyone's voice is heard and valued.
Targeted development
The DISC assessment highlights areas for personal and professional growth. Leaders can create development plans that cater to individual needs, enhancing overall team performance.

How the assessment works
The DISC leadership assessment takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete. Participants answer a total of 80 questions, responding to statements on a scale from "strongly disagree" to "strongly agree." This straightforward process helps capture a comprehensive view of each individual's behavior and communication style.
IMPLEMENTING THE RESULTS
As certified Behavior Analysis Consultants, we facilitate the DISC assessment process, guiding teams through the results and helping them integrate this knowledge into their daily interactions. The insights gained from the assessment can lead to a more cohesive and high-performing team.
Each individual will have access to their own unique report, as well as a larger team mapping. This helps insure each team member can visually see how to interact with each other.
Also, as part of the journey, we provide a team map that each individual can reference when communicating with others.
